Mediation Professional Experience

Perfectly balanced scales

Trisha has recently retired from the NHS where she worked as a Consultant Nurse and Clinical Counsellor throughout the North West of England. As a senior nurse responsible for a team, the family and child, she has 15 years experience of work place and clinical mediations. For the last 2 years she has worked both as an employed and a volunteer mediator, the latter with ‘Smile’, an organization based in the north West of England.  She has undertaken many work place, community and family disputes. She brings to mediation a deep understanding of how people behave when in dispute and is able to engender creative ways of how to help people reach solutions. She has a knowledge of the core issues at the centre of disputes and is able to help parties, in conflict, develop wider perceptions of the issues. She has been a volunteer with Women’s Aid for the past 31 years.

Trisha is a registered nurse, midwife and health visitor and has an MSc from the Victoria University of Manchester. She is an Accredited Mediator,  London School of Mediation, and has addition training in family and community mediation through Smile. She is a qualified Clinical Counsellor and has a PGC in Clinical Supervision, which enhance the skills required for successful outcomes.
